Privacy Policy

This is the Privacy Policy (“Policy”) of www.nvlds.com, a website and service approved by the State of Nevada Financial Institutions Division (“FID”).

The website takes its responsibility of safeguarding your personal privacy very seriously; we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We protect your personal information from loss or misuse through the use of industry-recognized security safeguards that meet or exceed federal requirements for information safety and security.

Who we are.

This website is an online service of the FID that allows Nevada Lender Database System Licensees of Deferred Deposit Loans (“DDLs”), High-Interest Loans (“HILs”) and Title Loans (“TLs”) to validate consumer eligibility according to the Nevada Revised Statutes (“NRS”) and Nevada Administrative Code (the “Act”) which was enacted by the Senate Bill No. 201 (2019), NRS 604A, and relevant rules promulgated by the FID; and provide for the tracking of information regarding all such loan transactions. Catalis is a third party, privately held company under contract with the FID to provide this service.

Privacy Notice.

Privacy and security are our highest priority. Ensuring lawful electronic access to state regulatory information and services while maintaining privacy is a guiding principle of our program. Personal data in our possession is maintained and used in ways that respect individual privacy. Catalis educates its employees about the importance of protecting personal information and privacy. Only authorized employees of Catalis and the FID have access to consumers’ personal information.

The purpose of this Policy is to notify you of:

  1. That personally identifiable information is collected through the website;
  2. That Catalis is collecting the information;
  3. How the information is used;
  4. With whom the information may be shared;
  5. The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control; and
  6. That you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information we collect through the www.nvlds.com website.

None of your information will be shared with any person or organization, other than the FID. Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by authorized Catalis employees to contact you concerning your comments, questions or complaints.

How your information is used.

When a licensee enters a consumer’s information into the database, we use this information to help licensed licensees in the State of Nevada determine the eligibility to enter into a loan transaction with a consumer in compliance with the Act.

The identifying information contained in the database for licensees, which is authorized under the Act, is confidential and exempt from public disclosure. The information in the database may be accessed to fulfill requirements pursuant to the Act and may be accessed by the FID for regulatory purposes consistent with the Act. Catalis may also access the information for purposes of maintaining the database and to provide statistical information about the program.

We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose other than that authorized under the Act.

Limited distribution of personal information.

At the direction of a licensee, e.g., when the "Submit" button is clicked, the information provided to us will be processed through the system and the appropriate response will be returned to the licensee. All of the licensees in our network operate under federal and/or state laws and regulations. Information sent indirectly through a licensee will be treated in the same manner as information you submit directly through the website.

When a licensee presses the "Submit" button to provide information to Catalis, Catalis will process the information through the database and will return an appropriate response to the licensee. The website will also treat information sent indirectly (via either the IVR, interface, email, fax or phone) to Catalis by a licensee in the same manner it treats information submitted directly through the website.

Security.

The website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Catalis uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your sensitive personal information during online transactions. Using this widely accepted form of encryption, a transaction is secured from a licensee’s computer to the Catalis computers processing the request, and the processing computers are located behind a secure firewall. This method protects your information.

This notice should not be construed in any way as guaranteeing, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information exchanged between licensees and Catalis. Any changes to this Policy will be communicated through the website at least 30 days in advance of implementation. Information collected before changes are made will be secured according to the Policy in effect prior to the change.
